Question: Sophisticated broadcasters will use shoutcast as always. This is to let their friends listen without any technical know-how.

    Right right, but where would the music come from? "Let me pick some songs from a library that I can make a playlist of" (on demand) vs "here's what i want to be playing right now" (streaming).. there's a difference, I think.
