Functional programming being a way around human error? Or human error to repost (if so, no worries). I never bother with intrinsic functions anymore, and even then I'd probably use inline assembly (though we use little of it now). Comment...

The real question is, in my mind, did Pinnochio's nose grow because of the intent of lying or the actual lie? I.e. if he believed something to be true, and said it, and it turned out to be false, would his nose grow? If so, he would have an extremely valuable tool for testing the truth of things. Comment...
