Question: Why wasn't Winamp 2's awesome incremental search function (bound to 'j') more noticeable? It was life-changing once discovered.

    That functionality is great, I agree.. I like it pretty much everywhere it is available -- we have it in REAPER, Vista's start menu has it, and Spotlight in OS X... All great. To answer your question: maybe because it was incrementally added? I.e. at first it was just a simple listbox.. then it got better.. then eventually DrO I think extended it via a plug-in. Things that slowly come into being in front of people are often ignored?
