Probably worth separating the language from the whole runtime system in making those arguments. The language seems to be fine. The way you actually run Java, however, seems to be a pain in the ass. What's the point, then? Comment...

Nothing major, but a lot of little subsystems have been added. Originally all of the controls were separate HWNDs, and then they were not, etc. Comment...

REAPER has absolutely evolved. If we had to make something of REAPER 4.x's complexity from the ground up, I wouldn't know where to begin. It started out super simple, and has grown by building all kinds of new technologies as they were needed, and adding functionality into the existing basic framework of an app. Comment...
