Question: How did you connect custom hardware knobs & switches to a Windows machine (Jesusonic) and write software that recognized them?

    I programmed an AVR microcontroller to sample the knobs/switches, and send that via RS-232 (via a separate chip that handled the RS-232 voltage requirements) to the PC.
