WDM KS and WASAPI can provide similar performance to ASIO, though aren't as easy to work with. DirectSound and WaveOut(MME) are pretty old, and relatively straightforward to support, though their architectures make it difficult to use them with really low latencies. So you can convert to UTF-8, then call it. :) Or, if you have a LICE_SysBitmap you can just call DrawTextW(), too.. (using LICE_IBitmap::getDC()) Comment...
