There is a petition asking for 'moving' Winamp to open source. What do you think about that poibility? I know that you are not part of the development team since a lot of time ago but still your opinion, as a developer, is really valuable.

I'm all for it, but you'd have to go VLC-style and host it elsewhere...

Question:
With modern social app phenomenons being offered $3B to sell out, do you feel jipped for only getting a paltry $60mm?
Asked by Will (70.173.80.x) on November 21 2013, 8:16am
Reply on November 21 2013, 3:23pm (edited at November 21 2013, 3:24pm):
What kind of complete douchebag would I be if I said yes? Even if the thing that had sold was worth more than all of them combined (which obviously is far from the case), it would just be stupid.

Question:
Do you recall how long it took you to code nitrane, from reading the specs to hearing decoded samples?
Asked by Will (70.173.80.x) on November 12 2013, 7:26am
Reply on November 12 2013, 2:58pm:
No idea, that was like 15 years ago. Also, it wasn't a pure specs-to-samples or cleanroom implementation, as I had worked on and rewritten large portions of other decoders.
