Any chance you could give an some sort of explanation how the oscilloscope worked in winamp 2.95 so this...

Question:
Do you have any simple C++ implementation for an associative array? I don't like STL, just like you.

Question:
Is it true that MIDI_GetNote() and other functions return false if the event is hidden by filter? This does seem to be the case but it's not documented so it would be nice to know if we can rely on this behavior.

Question:
Re: msysgit. What you said is true. But I'm talking about something else. Try: mkdir love; touch love/forever; rm -dfr love -- doesn't work for me :( your results different?
Asked by gio (79.130.183.x) on November 24 2014, 11:26pm
Reply on November 24 2014, 11:44pm:
Try leaving out the -d -- -d means that rm tries to remove the directory without removing the files first (and the docs say requires super-user privs), which is likely not supported on msysgit.

Question:
Re: msysgit. Are there occasions where you come across --rm: cannot unlink 'blah': Not owner-- or it's just me using an ancient msysgit version? :(
Asked by gio (79.130.183.x) on November 24 2014, 7:05pm
Reply on November 24 2014, 10:27pm:
Hmm, that might be where another process has the file opened and locked (windows prevents deletion of files in those instances, whereas on linux the file is only deleted once the last process closes the file).

Question:
I assume that win x86 builds use x87 while the rest use sse2 (correct me if wrong). Have you done any FP accuracy measurements between to two? And if yes what are your conclusions related to performance vs accuracy trade-offs, etc?
Asked by gio (94.70.22.x) on November 16 2014, 5:23am
Reply on November 19 2014, 2:57am:
The win32 builds use ICC, so they may go to SSE2 in parts, depending on the processor (it has a dispatch system I believe).

Streaming Live365 music, thinking how far we've NOT come that it continually skips and stutters as new Chrome tabs do things. Winamp never did that shit a decade ago on much less powerful machines. :(
