Question: When someone works on an extension to Reaper, whether it's a ReaScript or a DLL, does it influence you away from extending Reaper in that area, so as to not 'tread on the toes' of the author?

    Having a script or plug-in to do something really well will make us less likely to implement it natively, but it's less about not wanting to step on toes, and more about it being less fun to reimplement something that already exists. Having said that, if a script does something that can be done a lot better natively and demonstrates the value in doing it, then it can also encourage it to be done...
