I would say that using Tesla stock as a currency would be a similarly bad idea. Human hands (minds) at the inflation controls are probably a much better than thing than you give them credit for, assuming those people are well-intentioned (which they do seem to be, mostly). Comment...

Question: Cash: Multi-sig with escrow - solved (OpenBazaar does this). Theft - get a Trezor - with power comes responsibility. Volatility is proportional to MktCap and steadily going down. Dollar has lost 90% of it's value due to inflation. Bitcoin has scheduled and declining inflation. Price is up 10x since last time I asked you. I'll check back next year.

There are a million ways that it is fucked. Sending bitcoin is like sending cash in the mail -- yes, it probably works, but if something goes wrong and the recipient either doesn't receive it or just doesn't want to admit that they received it, you're fucked. If you get hacked and someone steals your bitcoin, you're fucked. The price is too volatile, you can't predict how much value you'll have in the future -- if the dollar or euro fluctuated in value so insanely nobody would take them seriously! At this point bitcoin is really about gambling, IMO. That and it has a built-in scarcity which results in this stupidly increasing value as people (unwisely, IMO) take it seriously. But I'm just a hater... Comment...

Question: I'm wondering if your opinions on Bitcoin have changed. Seems Bram Cohen is an active contributor to the space, and Bitcoin is of course getting a lot more attention than 2 years ago when I first contacted you. The potential impact of Bitcoin and crypto-currencies in the digital music space (among others) is huge. I'd be interested in your updated take on
