Question: Will you guys release both 32 & 64 bit REAPER 6 or just 64 bit? Newly released Studio one 4, Live 10 & Reason 10 stopped developing 32 bit and only provides 64 bit software. Actually, now it's better to stop having compatibility for older computers since 99% people use 64 bit now and soon, no one will use 32 bit. Barely there are people who use Windows XP, m

Question: What laptop/OS/interface combo would you recommend for running Reaper on linux? What do you test on?
Asked by Maharis (69.120.228.x) on May 23 2018, 2:07pm
Reply on May 23 2018, 8:30pm:
Hmm I dunno, for linux I mostly a C2Q w/ Debian, RT kernel, RME HDSP PCI card for recording. I also have a Thinkpad X60 with a Zoom R24 and Debian I use for live performance, but it's not as reliable for me (though part of that might just be that it's underpowered...). Definitely like the RME hardware.

They should make the VST2 headers public domain, IMO, if they're going to stop distributing it. To make it unavailable via legal channels would be a disservice to humanity.
