Question: So, you said CoreAudio is better. If someone just make electronic music without any recording, would built-in CoreAudio sufficient for that person or they still need an audio interface for better quality?

    CoreAudio is just the way that applications interface with the hardware (whether it be the built-in output on a Macbook, or an ADAT interface)... To answer your question, there's no reason why you can't make awesome electronic music without buying any audio hardware, though mixing on headphones can be challenging, it's totally doable.
