Question: Do you prefer fitness bands or smart watches? Do you have any?
Asked by Abhi (117.207.138.x) on October 25 2018, 3:30pm

I have a 3rd gen Apple watch with LTE, which I only use for running (sending/receiving texts while running is nice, and not having to bring a phone is also nice). I also use it for swimming, it's very cool how it can detect laps and the type of swimming stroke used. It's terrible for non-activity use, IMO, and it has to live on the charger (it seems like off the charger, not on a wrist, in airplane mode, the battery should last days and days, but it goes down so quick. It's literally doing nothing except keep time, it should be able to go into some deep sleep IMO...).

Question: Don't you think the bold Ask Justin Frankel text at the top should lead to the front page when you click it? Or do you think I'm wrong here :)

Question: Is there somewhere info about structure of .RfxChain files? e.g. what else parameters are except REQUIRED_CHANNELS, COMMENT in other place, etc. I would like to simplify function for reading fxchain, i tried to be careful not to break trackchunk, so my func is very big and slow. It's not feature request!!! Just would like to read some info on subject, if it's available somewhere.thanks.

To varying degrees of competence: drums, guitar, bass, ukele (5 chords or so?), clarinet, flute, a bit of sax (mostly like clarinet anyway), piano poorly... maybe that’s it?

It's not but it also isn't as well-integrated as the others, nor will it ever be.

Question: Hi Justin! Would you please consider adding a Chinese Forum to "REAPER Non-English Speaking User Forums"? Lots of my friends are using RP, and I think they would be very cheerful to see it! ; )
Asked by Moy Walker (103.65.40.x) on October 19 2018, 4:50am
Reply on October 19 2018, 11:48pm:
It's tricky because when adding a foreign language forum, you usually want to have a few trusted forum users who speak the language and who are willing to function as moderators. Without that it's risky... :/

I've long since stopped caring about what happens to it ;) I've spent more than twice as long working on REAPER than I did on Winamp. And I use REAPER every day.

Question: If you do that, please have a look at the latest mod of baby sequencer here then: stash.reaper.fm/v/20869/seq%20mega...I've created a full-blown sequencer configuration for REAPER and this mod is quite useful in real-life scenarios. Hard to explain, you have to play with it all in real projects to get the sense what and how. For example, I currently have special macros for my project only that will record disable for recording into sequencer etc...lots of things to consider, but oh the fun...

Question: Is there something in REAPER you regret having implemented the way you did because later on you wanted to change it but it's difficult/impossible for not breaking things etc.?

Reply on October 4 2018, 1:00pm:
Tons of things, sure. Sometimes they get overhauled (the way regions were stored originally was as a pair of markers, ugh), other times not (MIDI items/editors/etc).
