Is it true C++ has serious issues with memory management? If so, how do you deal with it?

I'm not sure what you mean exactly?

Memory leaks? Double-frees? Memory fragmentation?

You can definitely write things that leak memory, and you can have heap fragmentation... "no apparent reason" is likely to be "because of factors you don't understand" I guess?

I think I understand it now. You just have to remember to manage memory everywhere. :)
