Question: Do you consider bying a new M1 MacBook? Maybe the upcoming one? Leaks about it sound and look great!

I think about bying a MacBook 2021. For now I'm a Ubuntu guy. Is it ok to install Ubuntu on it if I can't accustom on MacOS? Never used it before. MNT Reform looks good but I would prefer the power of the M1.

The M1 is attractive but Apple has total power over it (you don't really own the system, it seems?)...

The more I read articles like google.com/url?q=https://www.iphon...and others about privacy issues, especially about the M1 the more I doubt to buy an Apple machine. Didn't know about before that Apple Power. Maybe I should wait for an AMD or Intel equivalent ARM competitor.

Ah that looks cool too. Reform I like for its openness yeah (standard batteries, awesome -- this is actually a big thing, I have an old Thinkpad X60 which is still great, but I can't get any decent batteries for it).
