Question: Hi Justin :) This is an idea nicked from graphics programs where you can do math calcs in the dialogue boxes. Translated to music that would mean typing 1/8 instead of something-ms. Extend that with 1/8T for a triplet etc. And for frequencies you'd type C#4 etc. And Reaper would do the math for you. /Bo

Question: Is there any problem to use AddRemoveReaScript (add = true ) to get the command ID of a script, that is already present in the Action List, by its path?

Reply on March 13 2022, 8:34pm:
Not a problem exactly but also it's pretty inefficient, does a lot of extra work. If you can do a sha1 you can calculate the command ID string using that...

Question: In last week’s interview, you mentioned the buffering preferences in passing – how the default is somewhat outdated (to paraphrase). Could you share a screenshot of your buffering preferences?
Asked by J.R. Taylor (70.112.146.x) on March 5 2022, 4:41am
Reply on March 5 2022, 2:07pm:
I use the defaults. I was theorizing more than anything, that if you have a fast SSD, you could go to preferences/buffering, and change the media buffer size from the default of 1200ms to 500ms, and probably be fine. But there's no real need to.
