Question: What's the recipe for a kick ass (reaper like) windows divider/splitter?

Hmm, well for the resizing of children you might want to look at WDL's wingui/wndsize.h... Then, if you want to make it user resizeable, you could paint your own control in the right place, and if a WM_LBUTTONDOWN happens there, SetCapture(), handle WM_MOUSEMOVE, etc.
