Question:
I bought a used "bass big muff pi electro-harmonix" stomp box at a thrift store and want to see if it works. Can I test it using my PC on the input side?

Hmm if you have a bass or guitar to plug into it, you could connect the output to a preamp on your computer, sure. Bonus points if it's a hi-Z (impedance) input.

I plugged in an old Android phone to the input side. The volume was at the lowest and I turned it up slowly. The output was a set of stereo headphones. I played music on the Android and the filter sounded right for the stomp box. I had to use 1/8" to 1/4" adapters.
