Question:
Do you normally get stressed changing code that is working but needs to adapt for another feature or performance? Like with fear of breaking another thing
Asked by Dodo (189.112.72.x) on February 6 2025, 7:21pm
Reply on February 7 2025, 12:49am:
If the complexity is high I try to do a thorough analysis, with tests, and then have those changes tested for a long period of time before release release. Of course, the complexity sometimes ends up being higher than I anticipated lol.

Question:
This question has been on my mind for a long time. I’ve asked everyone, but no one has given me an answer: Why doesn’t ReaEQ have 24 dB/octave high-pass and low-pass filters?
Asked by Igor (138.186.221.x) on February 6 2025, 7:05am
Reply on February 6 2025, 2:40pm:
Probably would require more complex filters than reaeq has.

Question:
Hi. How about to make a modern issue tracker (not the forum one) instead of randomly looking at bug reports and feature requests forum posts? so people would dive into major sections, then deeper and deeper, look for issue and post new if not found. So you can also overview specific section/category when developing something. That would make cockos forum much cleaner. Maybe we can script UI to make this possible directly from reaper (like, select category, send issue and all the stuff using only reascript)?
Asked by mpl57 (46.138.87.x) on February 5 2025, 6:57pm
Reply on February 6 2025, 12:04am (edited at February 6 2025, 12:05am):
tbh not sure it would be any better; the real request is here is to have someone spend a lot of time tracking and triaging issues, but whether they did that via the forum or a modern issue tracker wouldn't really make that big of a diff.

Question:
Just curious and maybe you've been asked this before, why Reaper/Cockos doesn't have an official YT channel/social media accounts? IK that technically Reaper mania is part of Cockos (but because of the name, most people don't realize it) but there you only get tutorials (which is awesome) but there are no official coverage of new features (other than release notes), artists features, community showcase, bts etc. on YT/social media.
