Question: In the past when compiling the Rea VST plugins, what compiler did you use? Also, do you currently use cmake, ninja and the msvc compiler?

    the standalone ones? probably VC/ICC. We don't use cmake or ninja. We use VC2005 w/ ICC 10.x IIRC for Windows/intel.
