    I wouldn't think so. From what I've seen, there's still too much latency for audio, and CPUs are getting even more awesome.

Question: Why do you use GDI for WDL instead of DirectX or OpenGL? Any plans to do so in the future?

    Well we render things ourselves using LICE, typically, but then just use the GDI's BitBlt() to get it to screen. On Win32 at least it's about as compatible and fast as anything else, afaik...

    I think practicing by making stuff, and picking moderately challenging things to do both help you learn and be more capable. Also, occasionally working on other people's code, and learning to work within their systems in styles is quite helpful. It's all about being able to adapt.
