Question: Do you know Vaisnava (Forrest Gore, actually)? He makes so so dreamy songs. And he made lots of really really lovely songs in REAPER ;)

Question: So, you said CoreAudio is better. If someone just make electronic music without any recording, would built-in CoreAudio sufficient for that person or they still need an audio interface for better quality?
Asked by Puppy (117.197.7.x) on August 16 2018, 2:26pm
Reply on August 16 2018, 2:50pm:
CoreAudio is just the way that applications interface with the hardware (whether it be the built-in output on a Macbook, or an ADAT interface)... To answer your question, there's no reason why you can't make awesome electronic music without buying any audio hardware, though mixing on headphones can be challenging, it's totally doable.

Question: i wonder, if CoreAudio is such a beast, why nobody hasn't replicated/ported it yet in linux instead of inventing crappy PulseAudio, ALSA...What do you think?
Asked by Pooooooooooooooo (78.152.169.x) on August 16 2018, 6:57am
Reply on August 16 2018, 2:52pm:
jack is roughly the equivalent of CoreAudio (and even more flexible). jack's API is probably better to program for, but CoreAudio does other things better (like just working without much setup, allowing different applications to use different samplerates/block sizes, etc).

Question: *Refer to Poooooony's Q&A* No, you can't cause pain by loud volume in REAPER since it automatically mutes the track if it goes beyond a particular dB, right Justin sir? ;) REAPER takes care of our ears, yay!

Playing it definitely does. Performing it in front of other people is TBD (at the very least it at least counts as playing it :).

Question: Are there any functions in reascript, which can be dangerous for hardware, if not properly used? If so, can you name a few please?
Asked by Poooooony (78.152.169.x) on August 13 2018, 2:35pm
Reply on August 13 2018, 2:44pm:
For hardware? Don't think so. I suppose you could crank the volume up and cause people some pain though...

Question: Why don't you implement a login here? So that we can register our names. For example, if I register 'JohnGold' as my name. Only I can use this name and no one. And you can also recognize that its me asking you, not anyone else with my name.
