For the foreseeable future, Python is a pain to integrate in other software when compared to say, Lua, so it's not a priority for us. 5 Comments...

Question: Seeing that all "interesting" algorithms in Reaper use FFT, wouldn't it make sense to split all samples in to frequencies at the beginning before FX and then reconvert to output?

Question: Are there some "interesting" sound processing algorithms used in Reaper, that do not use FFT? I mean, that directly process the PCM sample data. (An "uninteresting" example I could think of would be phase inversion, where you just have to multiply each sample by -1.)

I work in the reaper, on the old laptop (lenovo t510 i7 620m 8GB nvidia nvs3100m). now I have Windows 7 and Debian installed on different ssd disks, currently I work with a movie sound, in reaper uploaded video for playback during mixing.
