Question: How does REAPER implement normalization to LUFs?
Asked by Alison (173.68.72.x) on February 10 2023, 4:51am
Reply on February 10 2023, 5:17pm:
By doing a superset of the LUFS analysis -- in LUFS normally you throw away certain statistical bins, but we keep them around so we can predict how gain changes will affect the LUFS measurement, so that we know how much gain to apply. There's a lot more detail to it obviously but it is noteworthy that LUFS normalizing isn't as simple as "calculate LUFS, apply gain"

Not sure, but hyperthreading generally isn't great for realtime audio so probably good to turn it off! Other than that you should be plenty of power, no?

Question: hey jf- you know with the jsfx default input & output meter on each side... is there a way to make any design with them particular meters visually? (can they easily be swapped with another type?)

You can theme them globally, but other than that you can hide them and then write your own metering in @gfx if you want

Question: I made my own programming language in ChatGPT. Like, I have told it all syntax of it (like, for printing a statement, Data.Output(). And for if condition, i used "when". For 'else', I used "otherwise", and told it about integer variables. And made a factorial code in it. And wow, it actually understand everything and told me the correct output. And I also gave it some reasoning puzzles, which it actually solved. Woah!!! what kind of experiment you did with it?
