Question:
we have a theory about storage-considering the vast amounts of data/info people can gather throughout their lives..do you think it may be possible that we do not actually "store" all this data in our brains directly..we use more of a portable drive (the aetheric consciousness field) & we simply upload & download relevant momentary info at will..yay/nay?

WDL: It's strange and somewhat confusing you don't use character literal prefix for wchar_t. e.g. correctlongpath(). Is it possible to become a problem in the distant future if the compilers start to become more conforming?

Question:
Win32 / Dark mode themes possibly more possible? this might be of interest?

Asked by dom64 (82.132.215.x) on December 10 2023, 5:21pm
Reply on December 10 2023, 7:26pm:
ah the part for enabling dark titlebars via DWM is helpful. Though that doc still lacks some actual win32 code for querying darkmode state. And even once you query it, enabling it for MS-provided win32 controls is also non-obvious/involves hackery.

Don't know much about it and the methodology I practice is whatever-seems-to-work-over-the-last-25-years or so, which does change I guess. Edit: With additional thought, when you're sick and miserable and uncomfortable and you find the local minimum of discomfort that allows you to sleep. There's some of that in there teoo.

Question:
Could we have the ability to return custom IVideoFrame objects from a video processor in the future? Alternatively, could some userdata fields be added to IVideoFrame objects? Thanks!

Reply on December 8 2023, 12:09am (edited at December 8 2023, 12:14am):
Hmm returning custom implementations would be more difficult. We could add a userdata, I think, via the Extended() interface. But what is the use case of such?
