Question: I really respect you and your team a lot, I think you're geniuses. But aren't you worried BLM (the organization, not the phrase) is dangerous and dividing our society? I went to their website and their payment processor is owned by the DNC. It all just makes me uncomfortable, like the DNC is fundraising off this. What are your thoughts? But having said that, I'm looking at blacklivesmatter.com/about and everything seems pretty reasonable to me. It seems there has been a lot of poisoning of the term by various pundits and media organizations. I'm not sure how the BLM organization is dangerous, and if an organization "whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes" is divisive, surely it's between those who are in favor of white supremacy and those against? The biggest criticism I've seen of BLM (organization) is that (some of?) the founders are allegedly Marxists? If true, I don't see that as particularly interesting thing in and of itself. What is this, the 1950s? ActBlue (the payment processor you mention) is a non-profit, not owned by the DNC, see wikipedia/actblue. If you think I missed something important and want to have a good-faith(!) discussion about it in the comments, I would be happy to. If you can, try to prevent automated cracks (e.g. try to prevent crackers from making a program that cracks your executable -- this is bad because then pirates can get all of your updates and crack them, vs having to download a questionable cracked version with each update). But trying to prevent someone from making a cracked version of your software, not worth the time IMO. 4 Comments... If you're asking for you (or a third person), what I'd recommend.. well, it's hard for me to recommend that, considering I learned programming decades ago and didn't have access to all of the modern documentation... What I will say is two things: Learning assembly language (for whatever architecture) is valuable, in that you can imagine the code whatever language you're using ends up generating It's probably healthy to not get too attached to the syntax of a particular language (why marry yourself to one?) Embrace curiosity: feel free to fiddle with things you don't fully understand in order to get them to work, then try to understand why they work. Don't hard code the size of lists Comment...
